These original oil paintings are a collection of work inspired by either:location sketches and studies that were made in. the local environment with a focus on the theme ‘Edgelands’ whilst considering , contrasts and similarities between feelings such as hope and loss, isolation and connectedness. Some long exposure photography with torchlight enhancing light and shadows to demonstrate feelings and emotion and cinematography in response to the contrasts of emotions and feelings of tensions that we can experience in life and in film. These were all then explored and developed through studies in the studio and then made into oil paintings .
